How to pack for a weekend trip

Packing always seems like a daunting task, especially when you are packing for what seems like a simple weekend trip; but as always, nothing is as easy as it seems. Did you forget your toothbrush? What about your deodorant? Those two are among the top 5 things forgotten the most when packing for a trip, and really who cares because you can always (most times) buy some wherever you are traveling to. But what happens when you forget something important, like the gift you were bringing for grandma or the dress you are wearing to the special event, which was the whole point of this trip?! Then you have a problem and it could be a costly problem. Here are some great tips on how to pack for a weekend trip and little things you can do so you don’t forget something important.

Tip #1: Make a list! Yes this seems obvious, yet so many people do not do it. Even if your list only contains the important things you don’t want to forget and not everything you need to pack, at leas the important things are written down and you can refer back to your list to ensure you don’t forget anything.

Tip #2: Sometimes even a list is not foolproof. In that case try packing your bag the day/ night before your trip instead of day-of. When you have more time and less stress you think more clearly. Also when you leave yourself a little extra time you realize that if you have forgotten something you still have time to remember it and get it into your bag.

Tip #3: Pack your essentials first. If you’re worried about forgetting something important then those things should be the first thing that go into your bag. Whatever essentials you know you won’t be able to replace where you’re going should be the first thing that get’s packed so you can ensure it won’t be forgotten.

That concludes our “How-to” tutorial for packing and the best methods for making sure you have everything you need! We hope this was helpful and that you have a great time on your trip!
