Avatar Airline is coming back in a whole new way…or at least that’s the impression you will get with their new indiegogo campaign to get them back up in the air! They are claiming to bring back the airline that will offer “50% or less in airline fees, no baggage fees, free wi-fi, and more”! Basically everything the current airlines don’t do. They even claim “no surprises” like all the a’la carte fees other airlines implement after baiting you with their low fares (that’s right, you hear us Spirit). If Avatar Airlines plan on making this happen how will they make any money? Well we wondered the same thing, and here is what we found.

Avatar Airlines plans on buying up a whole bunch of old Boeing 747s equipped with over 500 seats. They will offer a few business class seats, but in total, that’s about 4 times the amount of seats you will see on your typical aircraft. That’s not all, oh the fun doesn’t stop there! With that many seats to fill, Avatar Airlines will fly the planes carrying freight which will be leased space. Still not convinced of Avatar Airlines brilliant plan? Check out how they plan on flying routes cross country and back to save you even more money! How soon do you think the airline will bleed out if the seats to Las Vegas early in the morning aren’t filled? Would you fly earlier if it meant much lower cost? Maybe. Maybe you would but would 500 other people? Routes that plan to make many stops mean for a very long day of travel but time will always cost more than money.  Unfortunately without the assurance that travels value their money more than their time, Avatar Airlines new plan might be over before they even begin.
