Dear Members,

It is a pleasure to share with you the significant growth and success we continue to have as a membership organization, primarily due to your continued support. As we have grown, now covering pilots and airline staff in over 230 airlines globally, we have strived fervently to provide products that are relevant and valuable to you, which has only been possible with the feedback you have given us to allow us to tailor-make our offerings to ensure pertinence to you and the aviation industry.

The global landscape remains dynamic and whilst we know our products and services are being utilised regularly, we at Baymac continue to ensure that we stay ahead of the curve in our product offerings. Many of you would have noticed a significant reduction in your Loss of Income rates on renewal, which came as we met another marker in the growth of that program qualifying you for a further 20% discount from our providers, Clements Worldwide.

The cost for healthcare globally has continued to increase and the need for first class healthcare remains the highest demand by our members, followed closely by Loss of Income and then Term Life Insurance. With these increased costs and utilisation, the Globalcare® pilots’ health plan, also provided by Clements Worldwide, experienced moderate increases in rates for some families for a second year in a row. The overall service of the Globalcare® program and that provided by Cements Worldwide on a whole based on our member’s feedback, has been fantastic and this has allowed for continued retention of the program by our members.

While we appreciate the impact of increasing healthcare costs to the provider, we however sought to obtain a product which would be provided at the high standard of service to which you have become accustomed, but at a price point which ensure continued affordability going forward. Our continued goal is to ensure relevance, affordability, first-class service and to continue to be the organisation of choice in securing the health and financial security of all aviation personnel. With this in mind, we recently introduced a new program for pilot’s healthcare provided by our new strategic partner VIP Universal Medical Insurance Group (VUMI), a US based healthcare provider re-insured by the world renown PartnerRe. We are pleased to have VUMI as a strategic partner and we look forward to increased benefits and services provided by them to our members.

We also introduced a new Cabin Crew Loss of income program which was launched in July of this year. This came at the request of Emirates Cabin Crew members and our partners Clements Worldwide have put an excellent program together to facilitate cabin crews being able to cover their expenses while off from work due to sickness or injury. We were proudly able to say, “WE DID IT FOR THE PILOTS, NOW WE DO IT FOR YOU!”. Our first Road Show was held in Dubai with our local partners Union Insurance and we congratulate the proud winner of a IPhone 7 to a flyDubai cabin crew member who attended the Road Show. Several other road shows are planned for the upcoming months for both pilots and cabin crew.

Baymac proudly introduces a new Strategic Partner Coradine Aviation creators of Log Ten Pro, who provides electronic pilot’s log book to approximately 100,000 pilots globally and who now makes their logbooks available to Baymac members at a discount range of 12-23%.
