Denali Growing Trend in the Aviation Industry
SETP (Single Engine Turboprop aircraft) which is now called the Denali, the newest growing trend in the aviation industry. This new aircraft is coming from one of the major aerospace companies, Textron Aviation. Textron is also the parent company of Cessna, Beechcraft, and Hawker. The Denali is all the buzz because of the single engine and limited competition in the market. According to Business Insider, consumers are saying it is better to have one engine than two, like this model is offering. To stay on the competitive path, the single-engine turboprop will be reliable, efficient, and fast.
Wichita Business Journal shares, this aircraft is featuring a new GE engine that is a game changer. Additional features included in this aircraft is seating designed for four to nine passengers, cruise speeds of up to 285 knots, and the widest, most comfortable cabin. All while offering the best in operating class. “The Denali will balance great handling characteristics with the enhanced capability of a high performance turboprop, making it a great step-up airplane for piston owners who are ready for more performance,” said Kriya Shortt, Textron Aviation Senior Vice President of Sales and Marketing.
According to Cessna, this airplane is “capable of flying four passengers and a pilot from Los Angeles to Chicago, New York to Miami, or London to Moscow.”
This aircraft will fly for the first time in 2018. The Denali is starting at $4.8 million USD. Textron is continuing to be an innovative company by filling the gaps in their product line through enhancing design, durability, and power. They are able to invest $300 million on new product development and coming up with solutions to fill the market’s needs, explained Shortt. This growing trend in the aviation industry will continue to spark interest and excitement until the Denali makes its first flight!
