What’s the big deal about First Class?
In recent news one of the headlines was United’s decision to rid their first class seating when they upgraded their 767s. United stated getting rid of these seats will allow them to make some much needed improvements that will last much longer and require less maintenance but the real question is, will not offering the option for first class make a big difference? Is this a good idea or not? So we did a little research into the affect the first class option has on airlines and the public, and here is what we found.
First many airlines either offer first class as a high level of luxury or they simply don’t. For example check out this video on the most luxurious first class airlines. Now we’re talking about comfort!
First class options has certainly caused issues in the past, such as back in February when a third party offered to upgrade tickets to first class for only $50 on certain United flights. Unfortunately, tickets on those selected flights being offered for under $100 would normally go for thousands so United refused to honor the bookings. That certainly caused a headache for them. See more about that article here.
The question that it really boils down to, what we want to know, is do you think having the option to fly first class will determine whether you would fly with a specific airline or not? Because who really flies first class anyways? You tell us.
