Dubai International Airport has officially launched their new airport app that connects not only to your smart phone, but also to your smart watch. This new app will deliver important travel information directly to anyone who is actively using the app – including on their smart phones – with either iOS or Android. This new app will effectively offer a new experience for smart watch wearers!

The smart watch app has integrated with Dubai’s most popular airport app, providing the user with quick and easy access to the latest status of their bookmarked flight. This includes showing the user their current flight status, terminal, gate or baggage check, and arrival or departure time, with one easy glance at their wrist! If taking out your mobile phone wasn’t convenient enough for you, then looking at your watch must be.

It’s easy to expect users will find this smart watch app extremely useful and appreciated. There are further plans to make the app for interactive and fun for the user, while also expanding its functionality to include wayfinding and commercial offers from various retailers across the airport. Imagine walking through the airport and getting a discount offer for one of your favorite retailers? Can you say detour? We’re not sure when this second phase will be released but we would not be surprised if it was soon.
